Window Replacement Spicewood
Pella Rookie of the Year 2025 • Austin’s Only Certified RAM Installer
Spicewood sits in the heart of the Texas Hill Country — wide-open land, limestone bluffs, and custom homes built to take in every bit of it. Old Soul Windows & Doors serves Spicewood homeowners with the same care and precision we bring to every project in the greater Austin area.
Why Are Spicewood Homeowners Replacing Their Windows?
Spicewood homes face a unique combination of challenges. The Hill Country elevation means more direct sun exposure — especially on south and west-facing elevations where afternoon heat pounds the glass for six or more hours a day during summer.
Older single-pane and early double-pane windows cannot keep up. Energy bills climb, rooms become uncomfortable, and the UV exposure degrades frames and seals faster than in shaded suburban neighborhoods.
Many Spicewood properties are custom builds with non-standard window sizes, oversized picture windows, or specialty shapes that follow the roofline. When these windows fail, homeowners discover that not every window company handles custom work. That is where we come in.
What Does Window Replacement Cost in Spicewood?
Spicewood projects often involve larger windows and more custom sizing. Full-home window replacement projects (15 to 25 windows) generally land between $10,000 and $25,000. Larger homes with 25 to 40 windows, lakefront glass, or custom shapes go well past that. Specialty projects (wall-to-glass conversions, multi-slide doors, custom shapes) are priced per project. Custom and oversized units are priced individually based on dimensions.
We provide detailed, line-item estimates. No per-window averages, no bundled pricing.

Every window and door service a Hill Country home might need:
- Full and partial window replacement — all types including double-hung, casement, picture, sliding, and specialty shapes.
- Door replacement — entry doors, French doors, sliding patio doors, and multi-slide systems.
- Glass replacement and repair — replacing failed sealed units without replacing the entire window.
- Custom window projects — oversized, non-standard, and architectural windows.
- Wall-to-door conversions — opening a wall section for a new patio or pool-access door.
We carry Pella, Marvin, RAM, NT Windows, Panoramic Doors, and Glass Expanse. For Spicewood homes, Marvin and RAM tend to be our most recommended brands.
Do You Travel to Spicewood?
Yes — and it is not a trek for us. Our office is on Ranch Road 620 South in Lakeway, which puts us 15 to 25 minutes from most Spicewood properties.
We serve Spicewood, Briarcliff, Marble Falls, and the surrounding Highway 71 corridor without travel surcharges for standard service-area projects. That includes the lake country: our Lake Buchanan lake house project shows what we do for waterfront homes.
For properties further into the Hill Country — Marble Falls, Johnson City, Blanco — we evaluate on a case-by-case basis. Most are within our standard range.
